A discussion about self-care, why it’s so important for folks who have ADHD, and how to do it in a way that actually sticks.

Hate it but it’s true: good self-care is critical to all our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. But ADHD brains often struggle to stick to self-care strategies, which can lead to feelings of guilt and shame – something ADHDers already grapple with.

In this fourth event in our ADHD community catch-up series, Senator Jordon Steele-John and speakers with lived experience of ADHD will unpack the ins and outs of self-care: why it matters and how to do it in a way that works for you.

Confirmed speakers with lived experience include:

  • Grace Koelma, ADHD advocate, educator and founder of Future ADHD
  • Megan Solomon, owner of Self Care Studio in Maylands, WA
  • Joana Partyka, artist, activist and staffer in Jordon's office

Attendees will be invited to share your experiences, ask questions of one another and offer advice about approaches to self-care that have helped you – or just listen and learn if that’s your preference.

This event is primarily aimed at people with lived experience of ADHD (no matter where you are in your journey or whether you’re formally or self-diagnosed), but everyone is absolutely welcome to attend!

This event starts at 4pm AWST / 6pm AEST
